SPS.bm has been selected by The Meritus Foundation as a Meritus Foundation Fellow for
2024. This award recognizes Community leaders helping People and Planet and
demonstrating Meritus’ values of passion, courage, humility, and empathy. The Meritus
Foundation generously purchased $10,000 worth of school supplies to enhance learning in
public school classrooms.

Support Public Schools
Supporting Bermuda's Children Island-Wide
The goal of SPS is to equip Bermuda’s public school students with the instructional resources that they need to enhance learning in the classroom. Public school teachers have given us their “wish lists” of what will improve their students’ experience in the classroom, thereby fostering quality learning and development. The items might include noise cancelling headphones, scientific calculators, learning games, cricket bats, xylophones, 3D printers, language learning software, art supplies, etc. Supporters can respond to the specific classroom need that inspires them!

Our Public Schools need help.
During our first six years in operation (2018-2024), more than $525,000 in new school supplies have been purchased by supporters for public school classrooms plus hundreds of thousands’ worth of second-hand supplies were donated.
Generous supporters have included Butterfield, Ariel Re, Fidelity, Meritus Foundation, the Green Family, Butterfield & Vallis, The Argus Group and others.
Michael Neff, Group Chief Operating Officer at Butterfield, appealed to the private sector to get involved: “Investing in education and empowering Bermuda’s students to achieve their aspirations is something Butterfield is committed to doing. The next generation are tomorrow’s leaders, and we are proud to have been able to directly contribute resources and support teachers’ needs.”

Purchase Online
Click the button below to choose a school to support and purchase school supplies on-line via a PTix transaction with your credit card (multiple items may be purchased in one transaction). You will receive an itemized PTix receipt and thank you message after your purchase. The goods that you purchase that have been specifically requested by teachers will be delivered free of charge on our next delivery days to classrooms in need.
SPS.bm is not a registered charity, and does not solicit funds from the Government or from public sources. Supporters of the programme make direct purchases of supplies. SPS does not receive or handle funds, enabling 100 per cent of purchases to be spent on school supplies.
Second-hand giving
Donate good quality second-hand supplies by emailing sps@spsteam.bm to make arrangements for handover. We accept secondhand school and office supplies and materials, including good quality second-hand computers, office furniture and office supplies of all kinds, boxes of printer paper, etc. We also good quality accept second-hand books, Lego, puzzles and board games.
Whichever way you give, you are helping to foster the learning and development of students in public schools.

Purchase supplies through a Bank Transfer to AF Smith and SPS volunteer Tim Gunning will source the supplies specifically requested by teachers. Transfer to AF Smith account number HSBC 010-715613-001 or BNTB 20006 060 173876 100. Memo note your name and “ref. SPS SUP003”. Cc a screenshot of your transfer to spsteam@sps.bm

Juliana Snelling (Founder)
I am a born Bermudian (maiden name Horseman), and am a graduate of Warwick Academy with a B.A. from Stanford University and a B.A. in Jurisprudence from Oxford University, both with distinction. I was called to the Bermuda Bar in 1995. I am a director and barrister of Canterbury Law Limited and specialize in employment law. Wishing to give back to my beautiful country to say thank you for all the opportunities I’ve been afforded along the way, I want to help improve the quality of public school education to benefit our future leaders and show public schools teachers and students that Bermuda cares about them and wants to help them succeed.
Nicolle O'Keefe
Nicolle is married and shares three children with her husband. Nicolle is passionate about education and dedicates most of her free time volunteering in schools and for programs that benefit the Bermuda community.
Deanne Hart
I am Bermudian born and raised; I attended Southampton Glebe Primary, The Berkeley Institute, Bermuda College and Clark Atlanta University; and I possess more than twenty years of practical marketing experience. During my professional career, I have held marketing employ within a leading advertising agency, a local charity, telecommunications and retail while providing marketing consultation support to several local charities and small business owners. Additionally, I operated my own business until the last of my four children entered Port Royal Primary. Having experienced both the private and public education systems through my children, the prospect of contributing to public education as part of SPS is inspiring and will undoubtedly assist in streamlining the tools accessible to teachers and opportunities available to Bermuda’s future leaders.
Magnus Henagulph
Magnus was born and raised in Bermuda and attended school on the island and in the UK before returning to Bermuda to work in media and communications. As the founder and Managing Director of MANA Consulting Ltd., Magnus provides communications and public relations services to local and international companies based in Bermuda. Magnus is passionate about the environment and education and spent many years mentoring young students in the public school system through a local mentoring programme.
