Every Bit Helps!

“To the members of Support Public Schools (SPS.bm),
I would like to take this opportunity to extend a very hearty and heart-felt thank you for the bag of supplies sent at the beginning of the 2018-2019 school year. When I initially received the bag, I didn’t dream that there would be so many supplies in there! I appreciate EVERYTHING that was in the bag. I especially Appreciated the roll of paper towel, tissues, markers and pencils.

The students have literally used every item from your thoughtful package. I am especially grateful for the pencils, as students either do not have the materials they need and/or lose pencils quickly. The tissues are going to good use as we speak, as it is the beginning of cold and flu season. Even the paper towel is being used in lessons for Science. And our class pet, Sage the gerbil, loved the empty tube for recreational purposes.

Let’s not forget the paper… This needs its own paragraph. I have been using it to supplement lessons, foster a sense of community by creating a positive affirmation (I AM…) wall, and using it to help track and monitor student progress.
